Case study

Zen Visuals

Zen Visuals is Zuzia and Ben's wedding and commercial photography and film studio in Belper, Derbyshire. We replaced their website-builder site with a hand-built one that lets the films lead, makes the prices clear and is easy for them to update themselves.

The brief

Let the films do the talking.

Their old site was on a website builder and didn't show the work at its best. They wanted something modern and clean but still unique, that would win more weddings and commercial work.

Just as important, they wanted to change films, photos and prices themselves, without a website builder or a monthly fee.

  • A film behind the logo. The homepage opens on their wedding reel, playing quietly behind the Zen Visuals title.
  • A film index. Point at a film's name and the frame shows that film, then press play to watch it on the page.
  • A photo wall with a viewer. Tiles in different sizes, opening full-screen with a tap.
  • Real reviews. Kind words from couples and clients, with their Google rating.

Weddings and commercial

Two kinds of client,
one clear site.

Couples see the whole day: getting ready, the ceremony and the dance floor. Businesses see adverts, promo films and product work for local brands like a classic car detailer, an artist and a heating company.

Every section ends with a clear next step, and buttons like “Check your date” open the enquiry form with the right option already chosen.

Pricing

One price for the whole day.

Zen Visuals charge one price for the whole wedding day, with no hourly packages. The pricing section lets couples pick photography, film or both, and shows the saving for booking both.

Below it, a short “How booking works” guide and answers to the questions couples ask most.

Easy to look after

Edit it yourself, in minutes.

A simple dashboard lets Zuzia and Ben add a film, upload photos, add a review or change a price, then press Save. The live site updates about a minute later.

Enquiries arrive by email, and the form sends without leaving the page.

Under the hood

Found on Google, free to run.

Local landing pages

Three extra pages for wedding photographer, wedding videographer and video production searches in Derbyshire.

Search-ready

Structured data for the business and answers to common questions, so search engines understand the studio.

No monthly fee

Free hosting and free editing tools, so the only cost is the domain name.

The films only play while they're on screen, so the page stays quick even with video at the top.
