Case study
Jolly Felties
Irini Adler makes lifelike sculptures of people's pets from sheep's wool with a felting needle, some modelled on living animals and some on pets that have passed. We built her a warm, bilingual website that shows the craft up close and makes commissioning a sculpture simple.

The brief
Handmade work, shown with care.
Each sculpture is a one-off, so the site needed to feel as personal as the work: warm, gentle and full of real photos.
Irini's studio is in Rudersberg in southern Germany and she ships internationally, so every word on the site is in both German and English.
- A switch for German or English. One tap changes the whole page.
- Her own lettering. The Jolly Felties logo leads the page, with soft paper colours around it.
- Photos like prints. Gallery pictures are pinned to the page like printed photos, with tape at the corners.
- Gentle motion. Soft fades and zooms as you scroll, and a still page for anyone who prefers less movement.

What's on the page
From first look to commission.
- Hello from Irini. A friendly welcome and who she is.
- How a sculpture is made. The process explained, so people see the work behind each piece.
- The gallery. Horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits, each opening full-size.
- Your pet as a sculpture. Side-by-side photos of real pets next to their felt likeness.
Prices and orders
Clear prices, no awkward questions.
A price list by animal sets expectations before anyone gets in touch, with what's included and how the deposit works.
A question-and-answer section covers sizes, how long it takes, which photos to send, pets that have passed and shipping abroad.

Getting in touch
A simple way to start.
Customers fill in a short form about their pet, and it opens a ready-written email to Irini with everything she needs.
The site also has the legal notice (Impressum) and privacy pages that German websites need.
Under the hood
Light, warm and easy to update.
One page, two languages
Both versions live in one page, so nothing gets out of step.
Search-ready
Descriptive photo names and structured data help the sculptures show up in search.
Published automatically
Every change goes live on its own a minute after it's saved.
The result feels like Irini's work: handmade, warm and careful, with an easy path from “that's beautiful” to “I'd like one”.
